There’s no end to what winter has in store!
At Reschen Pass,
winter blues doesn’t stand a chance.
Pistes, cross-country ski trails, hiking paths: In winter, these can be found aplenty at Reschen Pass and naturally they always guarantee enjoyable skiing fun – also when on holidays in our sports hotel in the Vinschgau. But our holiday region has lots more to offer.
Snowkiten
At Lake Reschen, for example, you can go surfing even in winter. Yes, it’s frozen over then. The icy fun is called snowkiting. The difference between kiting in the water in summer is simply that in winter you strap on skis or a snowboard – and that’s all you need to set off, straight across Lake Reschen or nearby Lake Haider. Championships are even held here, and simply watching will make you cheer on the snow kiters in amazement.
Ice skating
& Tobogganing
Those who’d rather go ice skating, can also do so on Lake Haider, when it has formed its 40 cm thick ice layer. The two-kilometre-long toboggan run in Reschen and the toboggan run in St. Valentin amidst a beautiful larch forest make tobogganists’ hearts leap for joy and are even floodlit daily until 23:00.
